"Above
the trees" Teebra
Woods Oh
falling leaf must ye die one
more season cants thou try be
a pine with eternal hopes and dream the
cost is high forever green instead
float away lay not on ground ride
the wave of the wind onward bound and
if we meet again on this strange travel tell
me a story so mysteries unravel |

"Wake Up Laughing" by Teebra Woods
Clearly the sleeping body never realized the morning sun Birds dancing on a hollow chest Squirrels playing hide and seek A weary traveler far from a path Alone in the woods Flowers sing warnings The trees tricking the eye Appearing as a lost love The deception goes unnoticed Perhaps this tired soul will Wake up laughing

"All is Well" by Teebra Woods Dry sand blowing in a hollow breeze Cutting down to the bone Rocks slammed together In a unified might A scream of release All is well

"Unfinished" by Teebra Woods
She painted all night A lone tear was but An opening line Signs of life Float down onto her The image took shape Reality and dreams Contact on canvas She has lived If only to dream She has dreamed If only to live Her soul one million life times did feel Hands moving Eyes ever gazing She cannot see that in which she looks Try as she might Could that I may Hand my heart as a branch from the tree of life As to free her weary condition How long does this song play to her In a near by field the farmers plant hope As if a rainbow that is not seen My tears burn Thousands of words Contained in but one single look She wipes her brow Hurt she longs to tear the painting in two Badly a scream waits deep in her lungs On the guitars strum An enchanting sound Capturing any listener who strays too close Waves of played notes dance The sun climbs from out of bed Gracing a lawn full of dandelions Peeking in on her work Yet only for a wink of time Other moments Other thoughts linger as clouds do Unfinished The canvas falls asleep from lack of attention She forgets how to live And No dream world to confuse No time for tending the garden Age creeps in as termites do Destroying the frame of the house Worriedly glancing about Eyes that mope Where did everyone go An entire universe opens before her very face Marking her place is such vastness Any civilized mind would have agreed Yet such is not her will She has awakened finally she screams at the painting As a trumpet or train crash Made notice to even the blind and deaf She boldly proclaims Shall the creek run dry Do the trees wither The oceans retract Fire burns across continents Be that as it may She remembers her dream She remembers her life |
